Reggie Bush had finished his second day of Saints spring minicamp workouts and was fielding questions from the press-boxers. This is Reggie Bush's second year of minicamps and the running, receiving and returning threat is enjoying life working in front of the large and eager crowds at the team's facility on Airline Drive in Metairie .
Q: Is your second mini-camp easier than you first a year ago?
A: I wouldn't say it's easier, but I know what to expect. Having a year behind me makes it a little easier on the mental side of it.
Q: You have said that you are working out hard this off-season because you know the benefits that will come. How far along are you?
A: I'm just starting to scratch the surface and the sky's the limit. The hard work I put into it will be a direct reflection of what I get out of it. I'm working on the little things. It's so early right now. A lot of this stuff right now is just about fine-tuning and getting the cobwebs out because it's been awhile since we've been in football.
Q: Are you and the team becoming more comfortable in coach Sean Payton's offense?
A: As a team, it's our second year in the system so we're going to more comfortable working in his offense and that might even let us top our performance of last year. It's still early, but I feel like we already have the chemistry so we'll have a lot of confidence rolling into this season and we should be better this season.
Q: Are you looking to cut back on the multiple dimensions of your game this year such as returning kickoffs?
A: I'll volunteer to be used in any way the coaching staff might to choose. It's all about the coach and what he wants me to do. I'm ready to do whatever the coaches want me to do. I would love to be out there returning kickoffs and punts again. Last year, I only returned punts, but if they want me to return kickoffs, I'll do whatever. I'm there for the cause."
