Reggie Bush Joins John Lovitz for Subway’s Daytime Drama

John Lovitz has teamed up with an NFL rookie and a rap star for Subway’s Daytime Drama, a television ad campaign.

Since April, Subway has aired Dinner Theatre featuring Lovitz, who dressed in silly costumes and comically voiced “eat fresh.” Now Lovitz has two co-stars.

Last year’s Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and rap star Lil’ John are teaming up with Lovitz for Daytime Drama.

Lovitz sets the stage for several micro-melodramas including “The Rookie”: the tale of a young ball player receiving advice on “staying hungry” from Reggie Bush … and “The Wrapper”: the story of Lil’ John receiving much-needed validation from two nearby diners.

The ads, run coast to coast, will present new steak sandwiches in a variety of 30- and 15-second spots run during primetime over the next several months.

“Through our diverse campaigns and product offerings, we are able to meet a variety of consumer tastes and sensibilities,” said Tony Pace, chief marketing officer for the Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust. “Our Daytime Drama campaign, with our new Steak Sandwiches, complements our low-fat  ’8 under 6‘ offerings and our ever-popular Jared ads.”

Bengals Can Add to Steelers' Pain
Visiting Cincinnati will try to seize 2-game division lead on Super Bowl champs

Will the Cincinnati Bengals get revenge and open a two-game lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North Division?

Can the Steelers bounce back from a 9-0 loss at Jacksonville and recapture the magic of last season's Super Bowl run?

The answers come today as the Bengals aim for a third win in four years at Heinz Field. In fact, the road team won all three of last season's games between the teams, including a 31-17 Steelers win in the playoffs.

Bad blood lingers from that game for Bengals players.

"Everyone around Cincinnati has just been beaten down by Pittsburgh so much in the past that you feel it as a player," Bengals defensive tackle John Thornton said. "It's a big deal to our city. People imagine themselves beating Pittsburgh. Everybody can feel a little tougher if we beat 'em."

Injuries could play a role today.

The Bengals, who have won eight of their past 10 on the road, will play with a new center (Eric Ghiaciuc) and strong safety (Kevin Kaesviharn) because starters Rich Braham and Dexter Jackson are out. Cincinnati should get a boost from the return of wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who has been battling a heel injury.

Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu (shoulder) and wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) are questionable.
