NFL Notebook: Reggie Bush A Posh Booby Prize
But Texans say no tanks to talk of taking a knee

HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans want to win.
But even David Carr's brother has suggested that the quarterback take a knee on every play in San Francisco on Sunday so they lose and are guaranteed the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft and most likely the rights to Reggie Bush.
The players?
They say they don't care about the Heisman Trophy-winning running back or any other potential draft pick. In their eyes, the fans who are hoping they lose to secure the first pick are disrespectful.
"It's not about Reggie Bush," receiver Andre Johnson said, letting out a huge sigh. "I don't know why people keep saying that. We're playing to win. We're not playing for Reggie Bush."
If the Houston Texans lose, they will draft first. A win over the San Francisco 49ers (3-12) would make things much more murky, and could leave Houston (2-13) in a five-way tie for the NFL's worst record.
Carr said he'll probably think about Reggie Bush during the game, but that any talk of the Houston Texans purposely losing to get him is crazy.
"I can't even imagine doing that," Carr said.
A gamebreaking player like Reggie Bush could certainly help the hapless Texans. But a more attractive alternative for Carr, who's been sacked more than 200 times in his four-year career, might be getting a lower pick and using it on a left tackle like Virginia 's D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
Lineman Zach Wiegert just tries to ignore the talk.
"I can't think about that," he said. "It is my job to go out there and play no matter what the fans think.
"You should try being the guy out there trying and losing, it is much more frustrating than watching it."
