Reggie Bush and Matt Miller from NFLDRAFTBLITZ.com Matt Miller: First, the question on everyone’s mind…. Will you enter the 2006 NFL Draft?Reggie Bush: Well, if I win the Heisman I’m out. Matt Miller: If or when? Reggie Bush: (laughs) We don’t know until its announced, Vince is a very good QB. Except for the bet we have going. Matt Miller: What’s the bet? Reggie Bush: If I win, he has to go on The Best Damn Sports Show with my jersey on and if he wins, I have to go on with his jersey on. Matt Miller: What agents have been bugging you the most so far? Reggie Bush: I can’t answer that one right now. Matt Miller: Are you ready for UCLA? Reggie Bush: Oh for sure. They are a very good team with an All Star offense. Matt Miller: I’m telling you, as a 49ers fan, I’d love to see you up the coast next year. Reggie Bush: It would be cool to reunite with Alex (Smith). To me though, I just want to play the game. The team doesn’t matter. Matt Miller: So you won’t be pulling an Eli Manning? Reggie Bush: (laughs). Nah, just to be given the opportunity to play in the NFL is a blessing. Matt Miller: What have you been hearing as far as projections? Top 5, Top 10, First Round? Reggie Bush: I’ve been hearing all sorts of stuff. Anywhere from #1-#13. But like the Heisman, you never know until your name is announced. Matt Miller: Are you a Chargers fan since you grew up in San Diego< ? Reggie Bush: Oh for sure. The Chargers really do their thing. They have an incredible offense and an up and coming defense with some good backs with strong futures. They have one of the best, if not the best, running backs in the NFL and a very underrated tight end that is incredible. Matt Miller: Did you always know you’d go to USC? Reggie Bush: No, when I was first receiving letters I thought I’d go to Oregon But USC just made me feel at home and in the end I felt the most comfortable there. Matt Miller: What other schools were in the running? Reggie Bush: Oregon , Washington and Stanford. Matt Miller: Do you guys talk much about the Rose Bowl and Texas< ? Reggie Bush: Not really around the locker room or the practice field. Of course we think about their defense and our offense, but as far as us talking about it, it is pretty quiet. I think the fans talk about it a lot more than we do. Matt Miller: What is (Matt) Leinart like outside of football? Reggie Bush: He’s a funny kid. On the grass he is serious and straight forward, which he has to be. Off the field he is real laid back, not pressured, and easy to get a long with.
