When it comes to recruiting, Pete Carroll is a man possessed. He does not stop.

The Trojans freshman class of 2007 won't be finalized for months, and yet it's already shaping up as another stacked #1 recruiting haul. Both ESPN and Scout released updated recruiting rankings this week, and either list you look at has USC already loaded with early blue-chip commitments:

Marc Tyler - RB (ESPN #1, Scout #7)
Chris Galippo - LB (ESPN #2, Scout #14)
Marshall Jones - S (ESPN #9, Scout Top 200)
James Wilson - OL (ESPN #40, Scout #48)
Aaron Corp - QB (ESPN #51, Scout #68)
Martin Coleman - OL (ESPN #63, Scout #33)

Along with their big haul of early verbal commitments, the Trojans are still being considered by virtually all of the top uncommitted players. Some of those names include:

Signing Day is February 1, 2007. Until then, I'll do my best to keep you posted on all the blue-chip verbal commitments and the scuttlebutt that comes along with it.
